Mission and Vision

At PS/IS 173, educators will engage every student in high-level, rigorous, individualized academics that are culturally responsive and inclusive. All community members share collective responsibility to learn and leverage students’ cultures to enhance and extend learning.

PS/IS 173 core values and beliefs: is a community that is grounded in the belief of educating the whole child. We foster relationships that make everyone feel welcomed, valued, respected, and encouraged to partner within the school community to take ownership of our student's academic and social–emotional learning. We have high expectations for all students and provide support for students to achieve at high levels.
